The Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte is a unique festival that brings artists, musicians, actors and performers from all over the world to Montepulciano every year. Founded in 1976 by composer Hans Werner Henze, the Cantiere is a creative laboratory where young talents and established professionals work side by side to create original and multidisciplinary works.

In the evocative setting of the Valdichiana Senese, the festival animates squares, theaters and historic places with a rich program of concerts, operas, theater shows and contemporary performances.
